» Circus Chasing Texas Panhandle
Hate for this to be my first post but what I saw yesterday was very frustrating. In the 15 years I have been chasing, I have never seen anything close to this. While there have been many times I have seen chasers converge on one spot, this occasion everyone forgot to put safety first. I witnessed multiple people parked on the road to view the storms in Lipscomb county. There were 3 occasions when I had to slam on my breaks in order not to hit someone who were standing in the middle of a state highway. One person just got out of their vehicle and ran out across the road without looking. I saw several people who had tripods in the middle of a county road I wanted to turn off on. Not to mention all of the lightning rods that were shooting vid...... - 2009-07-03

One night, I was filming a storm with lots of CGs during our schools annual Lock-in. I had stuck my head out the door to film some more, when i caught this HUGE CG. I think i might have almost gotten struck (had it have been under different conditions). Here is why. The first one i think is stepped leader. At first i thought it was maybe light from the bolt messing with my camera lens. I guess Id better tell you this is what i saw first, the bolt hit a fraction of a second later. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2281/1910196200_eed3fb4e56_o.jpg This one is obviously where the bolt hit. Can xbox/xbmc run DVD+R? Is it possible to copy/run a game directly on the XBMC HD without having to first write the game, and then transfer to the xbox? Can I run a movie directly from the Xbox HD? Thanks, Stefan :confused2:you cannot really say for certain what a given Xbox system can or cannot read with its DVD drive. Microsoft bought drives from 3 different manufacturers, and even within the same brand it seems drives vary quite a bit in terms of what they will and will not read. One of my friends has a system that will read all the media he throws at it, DVD+/-R/RW, even CD-Rs! » Conflict Resolution for MacMillan Bloedel's strike situation
I want to know answers about a question on a paper mill company called MacMillan Bloedel's ( now is called Weyerhauser) in Port Alberni mill on Vancouver Island. MacMillan actually was a "closed shop" system which means everyone belongs to a traditional union, but after ward they wish to operate with an "open shop" environment, which means any people can work there. The union members see this as giving their jobs to nonunion members. Therefore they engage in a job action whereas the traditional workers went on strike. therefore, I want to know what happenend during the strike, I want to know the detail in their negociation and what happenend in the end, how did MacMillan dealt this situation and problem...... - 2009-07-03

Imagine your are PR person working for the society of women healthcare professionals (with terminal professional degrees, MD or MD PhD, ergo highly educated and relatively highly paid (median $250.000/year). Relatively, because male peers with the same education and experience earn, on average 30-40% more for the same work. Additionally the profession is very much male dominated (only 10% are women) and it is difficult for women to get in. You are hired to make male counterparts aware about the situation and to initiate the changes, for better, of course. However you don't want to come as a hard line feminist; "we are females, we are minority, we deserve better". This will not fly. You want to put together data that...... - 2009-07-03

Who or what do you think they are?I see them in my room when there is very little light... floating in the air above my bed. I don't think they're hallucinations because I only see them when my eyes are open. I don't think they're evil because I don't feel fear... only amusement and wonder. I believe they are intelligent beings who exist in another plane of existence. Well... when one sees a ghost, entity, spirit etc. that is white/yellow and glowing... it is typically an entity with a positive energy... And "shadow people" are quite the opposite. That can be kept as a pet?Yes. Crested and gargoyle geckos are the most common that don't require anything other than ambient room light and temps between 70-80. That means regular room temperature is ok. There are some other geckos, but they are not very handleable and are more of a show animal than a pet. That's about it... most other reptiles require at least extra heating, and a lot of them require UVB lighting in addition to heat.Saucy's answer is spot on, but another thing to consider is: Where are you? As in...What reptiles (if any) are native to your area? Obviously there you have the answer to what species wouldn't need extra heating and lighting, BUT you do need to be aware of any regulations that m...... - 2009-07-03

http://www.irishhealth.com/?level=4&id=10502 [Posted: Fri 03/11/2006] Genetic factors may influence whether humans contract avian flu from birds, according to new research. According to the World Health Organisation a person's genetic make-up may explain why some people get the disease and others do not. The WHO theory is based on data from rare instances of human-to human transmission in genetically-related people. http://www.irishhealth.com/content/image/10502/image001.jpg The WHO said this theory, if more fully explored, might help explain why human cases are relatively rare, and why the virus is not spreading easily from animals to humans or from human to human. WINNIPEG - A medical marijuana crusader with multiple sclerosis says he will likely die in prison now that a Winnipeg jury has found him guilty of selling pot to clients across Canada who suffer from chronic pain or terminal illnesses. » My hip pops and sometimes its incredibly painful... Anyone know what it could be?
Sometimes when I'm standing up or sitting down and I try to pivot my upper body, my hip will pop. Sometimes it doesn't hurt when it pops. But other times it is incredibly painful to the point to where my leg will just about collapse.. Could be a subluxation. That would be when a joint bone end comes out of socket slightly then pops back into place. Physical therapy might help, or in worse case, surgery to tighten the hip joint. If you are very young, as in a teenager, this may eventually go away as you mature and your ligaments strengthen. But really would need to be evaluated by a doctor.Hello, I just saw your question. My hip pops all the time and I have been diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. Best to go get it checked. Hip ...... - 2009-07-03

Sometime about 1.5 years ago (approximately during late 2003, I believe), I found a lighting fixture on the web that I am interested in purchasing. However, at the time, I did not bookmark the site, I only grabbed the picture and brief descriptive text. I would like to be informed of the contact information for the companies that currently manufactures (one company) and distributes (at least one company) this light fixture. I have a picture (that I can email) and a brief description. The description is as follows: "Height adjustable suspension lamp The transformer has a diameter of 7" and is standard black. A metal cover in metal can be purchased for an up charge. 27.6" x max. Height Warranty: One Year Aluminum, chrome satin"...... - 2009-07-03

I'm going to be completing my BA in Liberal Arts: Psychology here in the next coming year. Unfortunately, my mother can and will pressure me into a graduate program, at least of my choosing. She wants me to have at the very least, a masters in something. I'm having trouble however finding out what to do. My ultimate plan would probably be to enter into a police academy, train, and get into the force to protect and serve, and to help people. I've always enjoyed helping people. I am interested in cosmetics, not only because it is useful, but also because its fun and I really enjoy using it, on myself, and others. Using makeup can be a wonderful advantage, not only can it make you feel more confident and secure, it can show your emotions, or how you are feeling on that particular day. Misusing makeup, or using too much, can make you look fake, or less pretty than you actually are! But using makeup the right way, can make your face look thinner, your eyes look bigger, and your lips look fuller. Now donâ ™t get me wrong. Itâ ™s not that I donâ ™t feel beautiful without makeup, I just feel better with it! I donâ ™t need makeup, nor does any girl need makeup, to look beautiful. Anyways, this year my dad has cancer, and so he said if I were to tell him what I wanted to get for her, he would give me his credit card to buy stuff online. Absolutely. All the best.yes, so long as they aren't liquid over 3 oz.is there a rule that says you cant?No commercial carrier (including commercial aircraft) nor any other custodian including caregivers and wardens) may deny you your prescribed medication at the prescribed dosages and intervals. To do so would reasonably place you at risk of harm.Yes. I fly to The Philippines every year & take my Coumidin, Lanoxin, Verapimil & Lescol in my carry on bag. I also carry my Nitro in my pocket.Sure you can, except for the restrictions on aerosol and maximum volume of liquid. » Gene clue to bird flu?
http://www.irishhealth.com/?level=4&id=10502 [Posted: Fri 03/11/2006] Genetic factors may influence whether humans contract avian flu from birds, according to new research. The evidence for the theory is based on a family cluster of cas...... - 2009-07-03
» Does getting Adult Canines Pulled out Hurt?
Hi, I have to get my 4 adult canines taken out so I can have my brace, because they will make some room for the other teeth to move around, and today im having 2 of them taken out, then 2 more 2 weeks later. I've had babies out. it doesnt hurt when they pull them out, but it's needles which I do not like at all. I can handle them, but it stings quite alot. So, my main points are: 1: How painful will it be? 2: I heard canines getting pulled out isn't as bad as molars. Is this true? 3: Is there anyway I can stop them blood boil/clots from going really big because I really dont like them because i'm afraid they will pop. Thanks! Reply soon! Not at all. You will be under general anaesthetic. I've had it done be...... - 2009-07-03

» Why is North America's economy so bad?
I need to know why our economy is falling down and what's causing it.This is an extremely difficult question to answer easily. And, it certainly can't be done with little pat ... one-liners of political view.... I will do my best to do the briefest of overviews, which in no way will give details or get into the more complex issues. First of all... is the overall debt-load... both on the consumer level and the national budget level. Record spending by the government as well as consumers have tripled the national debt on both accounts in less than eight years. Next, you have outsourcing of jobs and manufacturing trades.... » Should this man go to jail?
WINNIPEG - A medical marijuana crusader with multiple sclerosis says he will likely die in prison now that a Winnipeg jury has found him guilty of selling pot to clients across Canada who suffer from chronic pain or terminal illnesses. "I'm ashamed to be a Canadian," Grant Krieger, 53, said Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of trafficking. The Calgary resident said the verdict shows how little the country cares for the sick and dying and represents a wasted opportunity to make a statement. "They had a chance to change the law," he said. "It's a victimless crime they've convicted me of. Now they're gonna kill me when they put me in jail." Krieger admitted he broke the law but was seeking to be acquitted on sympat...... - 2009-07-03
» Water Bladder
Have any of you had experence with useing a Bladder hooked up to a hose to clear a blockage ? I had my first chance to use one to clear a bathroom sink drain. K-39 would only go in 6' and stop, I can only guess it was hitting up against a T in the pipe. Tried the Water Bladder and it worked in 2 seconds free and clear.not sure if you put the "blow bag" in from the sink or an outside cleanout. from the sink, what kept the water from going up the vent? i have used them before, but never inside the house. only outside and typically on an area drain line. rick.I would never use one for any reason myself. There's a reason you couldn't get a cable down the drain. If it was a "T" then you don't have the right equipment to clean the drai...... - 2009-07-03
» Portrait Lighting setup
Can someone point me to a resource that will give me some direction as to what would be a good starting point for portrait lighting? I've searched through some sites on the internet, but I seem to be finding conflicting opinions. Now I know that part of the problem is that it is just that, an opinion, and people tend to vary their settings to what is pleasing to them. At any rate, what I am interested in is diagrams that illustrate where to place different lights and at what angle and at what distance from the subject, camera, and background. Anyone direct me to a good resource for this.

» Graduate Programs for a Psych Major?
I'm going to be completing my BA in Liberal Arts: Psychology here in the next coming year. Unfortunately, my mother can and will pressure me into a graduate program, at least of my choosing. She wants me to have at the very least, a masters in something. I'm having trouble however finding out what to do. My ultimate plan would probably be to enter into a police academy, train, and get into the force to protect and serve, and to help people. I've always enjoyed helping people. I've considered entering law school, but with no real plan on what to do with it. Law school is not only expensive, but extremely difficult and stressful. But feeling beautiful abou...... - 2009-07-03

I've heard of using Windex or other window cleaners, But im not sure if it is best. Please answer. Thanks. Not sure about Windex, but WD-40 is an absolute no-no. It leaves behind a film that attracts even more dirt and grime. The best idea is to "wash" them with Tri-Flow or similar lubricants, and leave the bearings for a couple of hours to let the excess Tri-Flow out.i always used wd-40 but i dont know if that is a recommended method or not... worked good thoi use wd-40 n it always works for me...... - 2009-07-03
